Obtained from the end of the nut fiber and pressure is exerted to extract the oil, our coconut flour is made without added sugar. It provides a rich texture and a slightly sweet natural flavor.
What is coconut?
The coconut is the fruit of the coconut palm, a member of the palm tree family. It can measure up to 30 cm in diameter and can produce water, milk, and oil!
Health and nutrition:
Naturally gluten and cholesterol free, it contains 20% protein and eight essential amino acids for our bodies. Although naturally sweet, it has a very low glycemic index (35). It is also an extraordinarily high fiber product (up to 60%).
Probably originating in the Indo Malaysian region, coconut has managed to acclimate to the tropics. Despite its ability to easily reach 20 meters in heights, the coconut is not a tree but a plant, much like the banana! Formerly known by the indigenous Tenga, the coconut is one of the first known Indian nuts in the west. Coconut was a term invented by the 16th century Portuguese travelers.
